Not at all. Many athletes come in proactively, before a big season, a new level, or a key competition. Others come during a slump, after an injury, or when sport stops feeling fun. All of those are good reasons.

No. Though I’m pursuing state licensure (LPC), I'm not a licensed psychologist or counselor, and I don't diagnose or treat mental health conditions. If something comes up that deserves clinical support, I'll help you find the right person.

Most mental performance work focuses on performing better. I focus on performing better and staying in love with your sport. I learned why that matters the hard way: I burned out as a college rower, walked away after an injury, and found my way back to sport through rugby. So instead of teaching athletes to fight their nerves or force positive thinking, I help them work with what they feel, trust their preparation, and stay connected to why they play. The goal is athletes who perform well under pressure and still love their sport for years to come.
